Plantain and banana tree stalk as chicken feed

For those of us chicken nerds in more tropical climates, this might be interesting... I never knew!
I talked to some old timers and they say banana trunks can be used too, after the bananas have been picked and the stem is supposed to cut down anyway!!

I often finely chop green, ripe bananas and their trunks up for the chickens. They love it and helps with feed costs
