Hi. Our pekin rooster appears to have plantar warts (NOT bumblefoot) on both feet. They are crusty brown circles growing in size. This rooster also has severe scaley leg mite which we have been treating. However he no longer stands on the foot with the largest plantar wart things and walking is now more difficult. Plantar warts are uncomfortable and I squeezed the foot where it was but the bird did not struggle. One of our hens has them too. Her feet are much bigger and she is unaffected pain wise. The floor of the roosting area is paved for hygiene and they could become infected through the floor.
My questions are can chickens get plantar warts, can it cause limping/pain and what do I do about them. Can I use old human wart cream.
Thanks
