Planting monkey grass in a run?

    Does anyone know if it would be ok for me to plant monkey grass in my run? The run is dirt now with straw covering. Monkey grass is extremely hardy. I thought it might draw more bugs into the run. I know it is safe for my dogs. I have even seen them picking the berries from it and eating them.

    Mine eat it. I tried to plant some in certain places, but let's just say it made it to 3" tall and got consumed. Cant grow hostas either.

    the only question for me will be is the grass seed safe for thechicken if they ate it till it grow?
