Planting Suggestions

I have an area I will be fencing off for my Spring additions (yes, more chickens). I was thinking of throwing down some seeds to grow naturally within this area for my girls to eat. What type of seeds would grow well naturally. I will not be tending this area, just letting nature take it's course. Looking for suggestions.

Anyone? What grows well wild(ly) - dampish soil - that birds will enjoy eating???

Hi Steve! I don't know much about plants in your part of the world, but sunflowers are low maintenance and chickens like the plant parts and the seeds. Hopefully someone closer to your region will have some suggestions.
