Break an Egg-- below are pictures of my nesting boxes. Let me know if you need more info on dimensions or if you need a better picture. I still have to make the egg door to reach in when they start laying eggs, but the boxes are done and inside. The pictures were taken during the building phase...

I planted trumpet vines around my run, the chickens aate them down to nothing in no time with ni ill effects. They LOVE hostas too and the good thing about those is as soon as they munch em down they grow back new leaves. I also planted raspberries on another end of the run, they munched one plant but left the other alone. Perhaps they are making my landscaping decisions for me?

I think this thornless rose vine is pretty, and would make for a nice covering for a run.

Only the Mexican Morning glory is hallucinagenic and u have to eat about 1000 seeds to get that affect.

someone suggested mint - careful, it spreads very quickly too and I find it's hard to contain.

ASTRO TURF is the only thing I've found they won't eat if you put it within reach. Everything else you can just expect to disappear.
