Just a thought…has anyone ever found any plants to plant INSIDE a coop? Their new coop will provide a couple of grazing boxes, swings, a jungle gym, covered area, and, of course, toys and treats!

I was wondering about any shade plants that might spruce it up. I may just keep a supply of flower pots growing in the greenhouse to swap out fun and tasty treats for them. Any suggestions and recommendations are welcomed! Thank you.

This was Fort Forsythia back in mid- March. Notice the “was.” It was rescued and planted out of their reach. You can’t imagine the determination of chickens to overcome barriers, until you see it in action!

Jokes aside
Oh...but I wasn't joking. Not a bit.
I see absolutely zero point in putting plants in the coop.
I have shrubs that I planted in my chicken's pen that did survive them. But they were large when I put them in and only the heartiest of them have made it. My chickens have successfully overturned a 5-ft blue point juniper that I transplanted into the run and I had to move it to another location on my property to save it. They had no interest whatsoever in eating the blue point juniper as it is a very prickly shrub. They just had a grand time excavating it.
