I planted this lettuce mix in my little garden this spring and am delighted that the one type of lettuce, this very bitter kale type leaf that grows to a huge greenish/purple oak leafed shape that none of the kids like is the chickens favorite! I lure them back into their run in the evening by picking a few giant leaves and weaving them into the lower part of the wire and they all come running inside and tear into it. They also love this one obnoxious weed with yellow flowers that gives my husband hay fever. Go figure!
