Plastic 4x3 egg cartons? Anyone ever bought these for selling eggs?

Hello Everyone! I've been looking at these 'old fashioned' plastic egg cartons on the internet for selling my free range eggs. Does anyone have any experience with them? What is your opinion? Would you rather use another kind?

I like them cause they're clear and unique looking. Are they sturdy enough to house ex-large eggs without breaking?

i have been looking at the plastic ones too. they say they are easier to keep sanitary for reusing

who are you looking to buy through? we have been checking murray mcmurray hatchery and the sell 50 for $22.45 (oh and it says they pay shipping & handling on this page, i have a catalog right here i got last week) with a cute pic of a rooster on there that says farm fresh eggs and has a place for you name, farm , etc>

I've been looking at eggcartons.com. The "Fall Harvest Products" line looks really good. The ones with no label (Which is what I'm interested in cause I'd do my own label) for 200 is $46.95. That doesn't include shipping but I've figured it out before and with shipping it's like 22 cents a carton. I think I'd probably go ahead and get 450 though. I don't know.

I'd just like to know if they're any good before I order them. I figure I've maybe got a month before I'll start to really need them. My time is running out!

What do you think?

I'm just curious as to if anyone has used these clear plastic ones. I really like the look of them but wonder if they do their job well.

i just thought that the ones from murrys would work good because the label already on there would save you money from the ink for printing and the paper for printing and they do free shipping on those, they have bigger qtys. you can order100 $38.80

With labels is the same price. Odd, I thought they would be more expensive. It is alot of egg cartons but in a couple of months, I'll be getting + - 11 dozen a week. That would last me 40 weeks. However, I've got 28 more pullets that will be old enough to lay in December so I don't know when they would actually start laying. When they start laying, that would take me to 22 dozen a week. **That's alot of eggs!**

I'm just thinking ahead... Haven't ordered anything yet. Just thinking out loud.

wow~ you will be getting alot more eggs than i do now! we get 7-9 eggs everyday with our 9 hens.
yeah you will need alot more cartons than i!!!

Thanks! I think my clients will like the 'eggclectic' look of the 4x3's. Thanks for letting me know that they were sturdy enough.
