I have had chickens for over thirty years. Currently I have a flock of 36 chickens and decided it was time to get new nesting boxes. I got 8 separate plastic nesting boxes with perches and they look great. There is only one problem--the bottom is slippery, the nesting material gets kicked out easily, and I have noticed broken eggs. Is there something I can line the bottom of the boxes with to solve this problem?
