I think your issue of pullet/cockerel have been resolved. I just have to say, is that some form of torture having those tomatoes just out of their reach?

how old is this chicken? there is a serious lack of comb and wattles for it to be a roo. i have hens that have showy feathers like a roos do. i'm thinking that yours is a hen although it does have the feathering of a roo...my roos are about 5 weeks old with well developed combs and wattles while the hens barly have any like yours
