Play sand

I think I know the answer to this but just checking. I just bought a property that has a pallet of this in the barn. Could I use this in a covered run? Yes it’s blue lol.

Chickens need river sand its coarse and drains well.Fine sand compacts and stays wet (play sand)
It doesn't drain
