The puppy pads work great, but if you go to the medical care section of Wal-Mart or such, you can get "Bed Pads" in different sizes and they are lots cheaper—like $8 for 30 or so. We use them in the brooder instead of paper towels and the liquids go thru the top and are trapped by the plastic backing. They work great!

I just want to bring them in the house for short periods of time to visit. I will have to look into some of those suggestions. I was trying to find something inexpensive without have to buy something new. I keep checking at the second hand store. You are right those large play pens would be a lot better than those little things they make now. I like the pad idea I will have to look into some of those.
