Plea from the Humane Society regarding Michael Vick

This makes me so mad because we have a Pit and he is the sweetest dog.....trust him with my life. Creeps like this give pits a bad name....just not right.

All blood sports are despicable and if the NFL and Nike do not punish individuals such as Michael Vick(if he is guilty of charges, of course!) who is looked up to by so many, it is a sad reflection of our society...a society that is run by the all mighty dollar at the expense of compassion, morality, kindness and humility. Besides the obvious(cruelty) what does that sort of endorsement by Nike and the NFL teach our youth?????

I suspect the Duke Lacrosse incident might be responsible for the somewhat muted response to this by the NFL and Falcons.

We are all animal lovers on this forum. Please, I urge everyone to go to the link that wolfpacker has provided. I did, I also called the number to the NFL and I e-mailed Nike. Please help stop this madness.

I truly hope there is a special place in hell for these people.

I know ALOT of you will rip me up one side and down the other.

I believe fighting animals and using them for skins, meat, horns, entertainment will be the ONLY way certain animals will live in the future. People who think all animals should be free and NEVER live in cages or confinement are morons. I would love to see animals roaming freely but that is not realistic in todays world.

I AM NOT FOR CRUELTY or TORTURE. I do not see fighting animals as cruel. (Mother nature is MUCH more cruel btw)
I find the way people dispose of animals and the killing of them that should be called into question. The way many livestock are killed in this country is horrible and despicable. Sad to think we are close to the top when it comes to Animal Rights.
