Please help, very sick hen
Penn, our hen is sick. I noticed her being sluggish. When I picked her up she threw up. We separated her from the flock. I looked it up and it said sour crop, and to massage her crop to help her vomit. The 1st time I did that she threw up a little, 2nd ALOT, 3rd a little. She hasn't thrown up for 2 days now. Google said no food but yogart with sugar and water with a little ACV. She hasn't eaten, and it looks like she hasn't drank. Today we gave her plain water and mixed some chicken food with her yogart. We also gave her blended up Scoby from our kombucha. Where her craw usually is, is just plain bone now, I guess from not eatting... I can also feel little pebbles in her crop. Please help.

Please leave out the comments telling me just to kill her!

I've also noticed she has like red veins in her eyes... I don't know if it was like that before...

Can you get a closeup picture of the eye? What symptoms are you seeing? Any sneezing, labored breathing, lethargic behavior, watery or foamy eye, or nasal drainage?

Lethargic, none of the other symptoms you said.

Lice are treated with a permethrin spray or dust, available at most feed stores or TSC. Treat all chickens and repeat in 10 days to get the newly hatched lice. The coop will need treating as well once bedding is removed.

Can you post a picture of the eye?

How old is your hen, and when did she last lay an egg? Sour crop and other crop problems can be related to other problems that are affecting the hen, such as egg yolk peritonitis or internal laying. Does she have any enlargement of her lower belly between her legs? Is she having runny droppings?

Here is some reading on crop problems:
