chicken wire is fine for the sides, but coturnix will stick their heads through it (and can be torn off by predators happens more than you think). I think Saddina was meaning as their walking wire, chicken wire would be too wide for them to walk on but if you're planning on putting them ON the ground ground wire is no issue

Quail can do very well with chickens provided the coop or enclosure is big enough that they can have their space from eachother.

I looked at your coop, and it would be possiable to put the quail pens in there. I'm building a new on this afternoon for about $10, if you have some scrap plywood or 1X2's you could probally make it for the $5 in hardware cloth. I uhhh stink at building, but if you want I can show you a pic, it's made to fit on some existing 3 ft shelves they built into our garage.
