i have 8 ducks in my back yard they never had a problem with the pond i built them until my grand kids got in the pond i found out my grand sun peed in the pond when he was swimming would this make them not wont to swim ? they have not swam in it for the past 3 days can someone help me get thees ducks back in the water

what size is the pond and can you put in fresh water? if a large pond in the ground maybe there is a snapping turtle lurking under water trying to grab the ducks.

I don't think the pee would be the problem.

Maybe just the disturbance. Were the ducks around when the kids got into the pond? Did they chase the ducks?

I would also wonder if a snapping turtle may have also gotten into the pond.

Generally, if ducks don't want to go somewhere, it is because they are nervous and sense some kind of danger.

Check the pond closely.

Also, if your weather has gotten warmer, the pond itself may be less healthy. Does it have an aerator or how do you keep it from getting unhealthy?
