Well I made some very yummy scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning and when I opened one egg I saw the below picture. Please tell me this isn’t a fertile egg. All my girls are supposed to be girls. And if it is a fertile egg how come I haven’t heard any crowing? They are all between the ages of 22.5 and 28 weeks old. I haven't seen any real rooish behavior either.

I think the concern was that the OP assume they only have pullets. She may be feeding a roo or two unaware hehe

Maybe you could post some pics of your flock so we could get other opinions on the boy/girl situation

I have 20 chickens and have seen several of them lay eggs... the sex link ones of course. I have 7 gold sex links, 4 black sex links (both of those are out of the running), 5 EE's (3 of which I know lay), 2 buff orp, and 1 California white. We don't have any neighboring flocks either. Nearest one is about a mile away.

i am guessing but the last one looks like a roo...

but dont take my word for it i am still very early in my learning of gender identification
