I was referred here by @cherrynberry for help

This was my first hatch - this little one has part of his intestines outside. It’s the only one with this condition and I have no clue what to do. They are coming out of the incubator in a few hours with a brooder ready. I don’t think this little one is going to make it and it’s breaking my heart.

Unfortunately there isn't a lot that can be done when this happens. Once organs are outside the chicks body they are at a really high risk of contamination, so pushing it back in can cause sepsis.

I'll tag a few users. So sorry about your little one.

Betadine or other antibiotic cream 'without pain relief' can be applied to the navel. If it is actively bleeding, a styptic powder can help (google styptic powder for what you might have handy at home as lots of things can be used to stop bloodflow). Is it really organs, or unabsorbed yolk? Some are so eager to pop they do so too early. Usually bleeding is the issue.

If it is indeed organs, probably best to cull than have it suffer as it will likely pass on its own anyway.

I was told it was the umbillical cord. But I swear it lookes like intestines. And yes, this one was the first to pip, and then took forever to hatch.
