Please advise me been pipping 24 hrs??

Sumi I lost him.
I thought everything went well, but i have just found him dead in the incubator. I can't help but feel it was my fault but I do realise he may not have been strong enough to survive.
Thank you so much for your help though :)
Now a second chick i have is coming out feet first and I don't know what to do, it seems his bum is caught so I think I shall wait and hope.
This stuff is gut wrenching isn't it.:hit

Gosh, I'm so sorry :hugs All we can do is try... I had no less than 11 malpositioned chicks last weekend that I had to assist 100%. I ended up with 5 survivors despite my best efforts and I've done this before... Many times. Sometimes nature wins, sometimes we win. All we can do is our best.

It's late night here in Ireland and I need to head to bed, but I'll check in in the morning to see how you're doing with the next one. Please update as and when you can? You have @Pyxis article as guide to help you. Hope the next chick will hatch out o.k. for you!

so sorry for your loss despite all that effort @Kute_Keets :hugs
maybe what you learned will save another one day... did the other one(s) pipping quicker make it OK?

Thanks for your help Perris. No he didn't, I lost him half an hour ago. Despite it all I don't believe anything was done incorrectly, he was very skinny and weak, his bum was gluey"so it was meant to be. (I have to tell myself hat ) Mind you coming out feet first was not a good sign and I have no idea how he did it lol. Its just so hard when you have them alive for a little while and lose them.

Yes I have definitely learnt a lot but losing a couple of chicks over 2 days is not much fun. I have more eggs but they were given to me and i have no idea on dates...so we shall see how accurate my candling skills are!!
Thanks again to you and everyone, this has been stressful and i really appreciates this forums knowledge and promptness, helping us newbies.
No doubt Ill be back when others start to hatch :jumpy

Aww sorry. Yes that happens. I had one to turn in the she
L away from the zip and die. I figured it wasn’t going to hatch soon so I went to sleep. And woke up to its foot out of the hole and head away from it.
