I am so sorry for what you are going through. Losing a loved one is so very difficult and the loss of your mum only
a few months ago compounds your pain with Murphy.
We have a Jack Russell mix we adopted 16 years ago when he was only 6 months old and I volunteered at the shelter.
DH and I lived in a wilderness cabin in the mountains for years and Kojak ran up and down those 3,000 plus foot mtns.
as if he was flying. Now, all these years later he can barely breathe w/o difficulty or walk more than a few feet at a time.
our beloved Kojak is over 112 in 'people years' so we know his days are numbered. As I write this he is trying to rest
in his bed behind my computer and his breathing is so labored it hurts me to hear it.
Soon we too will have to make the terrible but most humane decision to 'let him go' with the vets help so he will no longer
suffer. He will live in our thousands of memories of our time together and he will 'always be our favorite boy'.
We will pray for you and Murphy dear one.
