PLEASE ALL TURTLE LOVERS!

Hi,

What temperature is Oliver acclimated to? Does he hibernate? You might have already answered these questions but I just saw your post yesterday while traveling and didn't have a chance to reply till today. I am a retired veterinarian in WA state and take in "animals with issues." If Oliver can tolerate our winters he's welcome to live in our 40'x90' pond with the ducks. There is an electric fence to keep predators away and a chicken coop with a ramp he could sleep in or under. If he's used to tropical temperatures I'd have to give this more thought. Sometimes longhaul truckers are willing to offer a "charity ride" and I could pick him up anywhere in western WA, although ideally between Olympia and Tacoma. Let me know what you think.

Pam,
Unfortunately Oliver needs to be at least 70 degrees as his breed is very exotic and tropical. He doesn't hibernate and spends most of his time underwater. He would probably do great in a duck pond given the right temps. Usually as long as the water is warm, air temps don't matter. Thank you for your interest!
