Please be hens

I agree with everyone, LO #2 and LO #4 look like roos. Their tail and saddle feathers are shaped like a cockerel, along with that comb and waddle development.

Actually, their tails and saddle feathers don't look like they're male... because these guys haven't gone through puberty yet and grown those characteristics.

Thanks everyone. This is what I thought also! I started questioning #4 as #2 has gotten quite a bit larger and he acts like Mr tough guy! Lol he has comb and wattles about twice the size of #4 as well so then I wondered if it may be a pullet. Maybe just slower maturing. Then #5 started chest bumping with others so started making me question it as well!

Chest bumping is a 'Chicken' behavior, not necessarily a 'Rooster' behavior. Males and females will chest bump. Its like the initial start of checking the pecking order. Am I bigger than you? Am I? ::bump:: Nope, I'm not! and then they back down. Or they're equal or whatever. Its like a check to make sure we're all in the same place we think we are in the pecking order.
