Hello everyone. First time raising chickens. I am tired of not knowing where my market eggs come from or what food their layers are fed with. Figured I would get into another self sufficient adventure with the family. Don't know much yet, but know I'm caring, eager, and ready to learn!!! So I ask, please be patient with my dumb questions!!!!! LOL!!!

The real dummies are those who don't understand why we want to raise chickens.

There's loads of helpful info on this site. I would suggest you visit the learning center articles. If you do decide to get your own flock, look through the coop/run sections.

Good luck on your decisions. IMO getting a flock to suit your needs and expectations is among the greatest adventures.
