Please check dates on feed!!!!!

Vitamin deficiencies can cause 'mystery' illnesses...and death----in chicks AND older birds. I went to tsc to buy feed YESTERDAY 4-23-18.......and the bag on top was dated 09/12/16. I kid you not!!! They said they regularly keep feed for one YEAR past the manufacture date. Although this particular bag was beyond that. Please....check your dates!! Your birds lives may depend on it!!!

I learned about checking mill dates on feed from this forum, and I'm so glad I did! In my area most stores are selling feed that is 4-6mths old or older - I finally found some at FleetFarm that was "only" 2mths old. Wish I could find fresher feed! (I had posted a thread on this - that's how I found out about the feed at FleetFarm)
