'He was a leader, from another clan. Wingclan. A long time ago,' Flower mused.

'She didn't like the competition. She didn't know who he was until she was broody with us. That was when she lashed out... and made it her personal goal to destroy him.'

Mosspelt shook her head angrily "And she pushed her anger on you two..."

'Yes, I guess she did,' Flower said sadly. She looked up at Mosspelt. 'Thank you sincerely for helping us. I don't know what we could've done without you.' she clucked gratefully.

Suddenly, Fiery opened his eyes. 'Flower? Flower, were you talking about mum?'

Flower nodded to Fiery, before she turned back to Mosspelt. 'Fiery... he feels a deep affection for Russet, even after the way she treated us. I don't know why. I have no such feelings,' she clucked.

Flower looked up at Mosspelt, suddenly feeling she'd seen a different side of the warrior.
'You... you have a story like this too?' Flower said, hoping she didn't sound too nosy.
