Arlanda's heart sank as she heard scuffling nearby. She kept very still... wishing someone else was here...

Russetstar paused and looked around, she smelt fear.

Arlanda took a deep breath, calming herself. She could do this - she knew she could! She thought of all those years she'd lived and pulled through without her mother, but strangely she felt no apprehension. Only a surge of courage through her. She came out of the hole and stared levelly at Russet.

Russetstar dipped her head towards Arlanda, unsurprised "At last you decided to show your face" She said "I almost thought you would continue cowering in that hole, like the rest of your Clanmates"

'Hello, Russet. I'm not afraid of you. We have forces, and we are going to blow you down.'

She looked around at the empty camp and realised how contradictory she sounded. Where was everyone?!

Arlanda frowned - she had meant the other MountainClan warriors. The place was silent!

Arlanda turned to Russet. 'Okay. We're prepared. You think you're the only one with strategies and numbers? Think again.'

Arlanda dismissed her, waving her away and turning around to go back into the den. 'You believe what you want, Russet. I know we're the higher in the ranks. You wait till you see who we found...'
