Please ease my mind, is Ester the EE really a she?

i agree that she's a pullet and a pretty one at that. With my EE's who are the same ages as yours, you can definitely tell that Big Boss IS the roo. My two pullets are quite obviously pullets.

The saddle featehrs are rounded, so I would say pullet. When the lacing on hackle feathers is pointed it is always hard to tell whether it is just the lacing or the feather, but I bet if you lift the end of a single featehr and check its shape, it too will be rounded.

Not even a chance that's a roo. Here's my 12 week EE roo, just taken the other day:

100% pullet!

A roo would have a much redder comb and wattles starting. Those tail feathers look normal for EE tails...all of pullets look just like that.

She looks exactly like my Shirley and I know she is a she because I have the most beautiful celadon green eggs from her!
