please explain wiring under runs/pens

I'm so glad that I asked!

I feel like we have a much better chance of protecting our girls now. We're extra nervous because we are leaving for a long weekend and only have someone to check on them once a day, which means the coop will be open (inside our locked and wired pen).

We started the chicken wire about two to three feet off the ground, attaching it on the inside of the fence. We then threaded it under the fence and outward. We then staked the chicken wire down. Then we covered it with gravel. Anyone who thinks they can dig through gravel will find chicken wire underneath.
