Good day everyone
I know the platform is for poultry but I had to bring this here cus I had no where else ask and I figured a lot of us here would have barn/house cats
A friend of mine asked that I helped him pick up a kitten he ordered for his small scale brahma farm but when I picked the kitten he had this thing in one of his eyes and I totally don't know what it is the owner said if might have been some kind of trauma that happened to cus it but it's getting better as he has been on antibiotics
When I told my friend he was pissed that the eye was gone and he wouldn't take the kitten though the owner claimed it wasn't
After a long bargain the owner gave in cheap than the original price, my friend was mahd cus I could tell he loved the kitten but was upset about the eye's

So now my question is... is there any possibility that the eye is still alive and would make a good recovery🙏

That kitty needs a vet to check that eye for the level of damage.
We did consider it but the bills of which the vet charged was ridiculous the kitten was gotten at 3k the vet charge just to see the kitten is 5k, medication not included that's the reason I came here hoping someone has experienced and dealth with this in the past

That makes more sense now.

What I am seeing is that grey area is from an injury. The eye may need removed as there is surely pain in it.
I doubt it has vision in that eye at this point.
I would be looking at it from a pain standpoint. If the kitten isn't acting painful then it's time to save up for the vet. Over time infection may become a huge issue and could mean removing the eye while kitty is very sick. That reduces chances of living through surgery.

Lol
Not dollar but naira
I'm in Nigeria
Ah. 5,000 naira is $3.75 in US dollars, according to Google. The kitten is a cutie! I once had a cat that lost an eye from an accident and it didn't slow him down one bit. I once saw him catch a bird in the air after he lost that eye! (He brought it down but it got away.) And even though he was neutered, girl cats in the neighborhood still loved him. They would come in the cat door to get him to come outside to play.

Thank you so much though he doesn't act in pain and very full of energy his owner already started administering antibiotics would let him know about the greater risk of not seeing a vet
