Please help an idiot figure out how to do the bold writing!

Hi.

As far as the word link, when you click on the button you will get
[ url= YourLinkGoesHere ][ /url ] without the spaces. What you would do then is replace "YourLinkGoesHere" with the link, like this:
[ url= https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=13107 ][ /url ] then put the word you want to link in between the first "]" and the second "[", like this:
[ url= https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=13107 ]houndit[ /url ].

The end result? houndit.

I had not figured it out either. Also when I post a post there isn't a little chick by it when the list of posts come up, like there is by everybody elses. Never have figured that out.

The little chick means there are new posts that you haven't seen-therefore when you are the last to post, the chick doesn't show up

The little chick signifies that there are new posts on the thread that you haven't viewed yet. Since you have viewed a posting that you just made, it won't have a chickie. But if someone responds to the post it should then have one, until after you read it
