So I’ve been reading like crazy about this breed. They were sold to me as amerucana but I heard most are actually ee. What do you think these are. Also is one a roo?

I think they are Easter eggers, myself. The darker hen isn't pure black but has some pale lacing on its belly, and some faint markings on its back, too. The blue one has almost a single comb, or a mix of single and pea comb. All these things indicate to me that they are not pure Ameraucanas. They are, however, both pullets.

i thought EE too but they look so much like pure Ameraucanas. I don’t mind either way just wondering when I’m going to get some eggs. They’re about 23 weeks

They're still pretty pale in the comb so it may be a while. One of my EEs laid at 16 weeks but that was super early. EEs are usually late layers.

There ees and my ameraucanas never started laying until 40 plus weeks....sold all those they were also very skittish not a breed Id ever get again mine came from a breeder
Mine aren’t skittish and I can wait awhile since my reds are giving me plenty 😂 I have a leghorn and Wyandotte that aren’t laying yet either. They’re all the same age.
