This is more of how it feels, like a hose in some kind of loop, with two kind of gritty pipes horizontally on either side

It is possible, there is a lot of hair in our house... But the swelling and color is just on one side of her tongueSounds bad. Pic would be ideal.
Is it possible she has a hair wrapped around the base of her tongue and cutting off circulation?
I don't think she would have eaten a bee- and I think I would have noticed if there were a bee on my floor / in my roomIt sounds like she's inside, so im not sure how plausible this is, could she have eaten a bee? From the picture, she's old enough to have feathers, so she'd be big enough to try.
I'm not sure, she is sleeping right now. I can weigh her tomorrow. She is only 4 weeks old, probably less than half a pound I'd guess but I'm not sureThis is strange indeed. Is she able to swallow? We’ve seen a hair wrapped around a chick’s tongue before on the forums, but one side swelling does seem more like a sting or bite. How is her behavior now? I have heard of benadryl being used on chickens, but I don’t have the dosing info. How much does this little one weigh? Do you have a kitchen scale you could try her on?
Yes but I'm pretty sure it was a piece of food- it was moving around in her throat and there are some little corn pieces in their chick feed so I suspect that's what it wasI saw on another thread that she has something yellow on her throat?
