To amputate the wing a normal vet might just do as well. The only tricky thing will be not to overdose the anaesthetic.

I can't even find a vet to just look at her. If they won't look at her, I'm sure they wouldn't do surgery. I did speak to a vet tech who is studying to be an avian vet. She said that as long as the bird is eating and drinking and moving around, they would just leave it.

We came home and little penguin was caught in the fence. Her wing looks inside out. There is no broken skin. Im afraid to try to flip it back right side out as I don't want to make anything worse.

Just flip it back around I've had this happen . It's ok just go slow make sure ur turning the right way...

Penguin is doing great! We came home from an errand and her wing is in place!!
I don't know how, but she looks perfect! Still eating, drinking and now hanging with friends again!
I am relieved, excited and grateful.

She is the tiniest bird we have that isn't in the brooder! That's a skinny, petit 11 year olds hand she sitting in. Our new 5 week old Seramas are a bit bigger than she is!
