Hello,
My cream Legbar hen has been super slow and now it seems like she may have a stuck egg.
What can I do for her? I gave her a warm bath and it seems like she has not eaten much.
The temps have been dropping and rising a lot ( from 105- about 87F) could this cause this?

Please help me fast! It's getting dark and late! She is also hot!

What makes you think and egg is stuck?

Don't bath her again.
See if you can stick a finger in her vent and feel an egg?

She has been laying soft eggs and has her back end all puffed down and is very very slow and does not want to come out the coop during the day.

I f a stuck egg is suspected, I would give her some calcium citrate with vitamin D orally, about 300-600mg tonight. Tums are okay too. You can find calcium citrate at Walmart (Equate brand) and other pharmacies. Has she been laying eggs regularly with normal hard shells?

You could try giving her calcium? I know that helps with some egg problems, but I haven’t experienced any stuck eggs in my flock.
I'll go give her some.

I did and did not feel anything.

So what could be going one with her?
Her back end is hanging down so much and she lost a pound.
