Please help Daisy!!

@Miss Lydia she is doing great! I just came up from her stall now. She and our chicken who is recovering from bumble foot have made a connection with each other LOL. She is now walking on it and even standing and stretching to flap your wings! Thank you so much to everyone for your helpful advice. I haven't tried the towel trick yet, but it will certainly come in handy when I need to pick up a duck again!

So happy to hear this, good your chicken and your duck have connected that always helps them get over stuff so much better keep thanks for updating.

Thank YOU for caring so much! Here is a photo of Sue being attacked. I am quite certain that this is what happened to Daisy! I guess we are going to have to get more females to protect the other females? I have no idea how to sex ducks though, so some of the dicks
400
I thought were female may very well be male! I do not know what my ratios are as these were all rescues and were sent to us all at the same time.

Best way to tell a drake from a duck look at tail feathers at end of back see the curl that is one reliable the other is voice ducks/females quack loudly and alot. drakes have a raspy quiet quack. The ideal ratio is at least 3 or more ducks per drake.

That pic does show Sue being attacked was she a newbie to the flock? new ducks should always be introduced gradually first through some kind of fencing so everyone gets use to each other then supervised all together time until you know everyone is getting along.

http://www.majesticwaterfowl.org/artquacks.htm here ya go voices of drake and duck.
