Please help, Day 21 and temp dropped to 25, pipped today and cheeping

Thanks silver fox. she has tried to stand up a few times and is cheeping so fingers crossed. shes still in the incubator and is drying out slightly.
I just had to help her, i knoe some peoples views on helping may not be the same as mine but it felt right.
If she makes it im calling her thankfull as thats what i am to have her here and like you im going to spoil her rotten
is yours out of the incubator now ?

yes mine is now 2 days old and out of the bator

she was cheeping real loud and i was confused so i called my supplier [breeder] and she could hear the cheeps so loud over the phone and said she is lonley and needs a mate

so i divided the brooder with my 3 week olds and put her in there and now she is cheeping rather than screaming

My daughter named her Little Chickie

but i decided to name her Lucky to my daughters annoyance

she is 4 yrs old and she is such a madam, she went absolutly crazy no your not naming her lucky her name is little chicky just you wait i will see and sort you out her name is little chickie

so cute

here is a picture of my lucky chick

This is Rockie.
I helped him out 7.30 sunday morining. By 8 in the evening i had to put him under a heat lamp in the brooder as was heavy breathing and not drying and realised the fan on the incubator wasnt working so i dont thing he was getting enough air.
He looks alot more fluffy today.
Hes eating drinking and pooing and cheeps when he hears our voice.
He seems a little unstable at the moment and his right wing seems to drop when he walks and he trips but hes a fighter bless him.
I was thinking about putting him under my silkie who has 8 1 week old chicks but hes still weak and she may hurt him

he is very cute

but i would be carefull about putting him under silkie

but then he is a flock bird and needs mates

so you will need to give him friends so maybe try it and see if silkie will take him

Im a litlle scared to until he can walk and stand on his own properly.
I have no idea what he is as was in a box of farmyard mixed eggs bless him. he does seem to have big feet

i dont think it would be but he looks so much like my Buff ~Orp above

look at the left cheak of your chick and look at left cheak of mine

then the other few darker patches around ther body matches

hehe

i wouldnt try anything till atleast day 3 thats when he will be up and have better balance

main thing to do now and watch for is water, food he can survive 3 days but accasionally wet his beak with a cotton swab or something so he dont dehydrate

Do you know what i have been joking since i got the egg that i wanted an orpington.

I keep dipping his beak in the water and he does drink.

He has brown patches on his back and he does look like the pic of yours,

they could be twins.

The egg was a pale white colour if that means anything

it could be a leghorn hybrid maybe white feather

usually white eggs are leghorn

the hybryid leghorn that lays white eggs and considered a barnyard mix is the white star

if it was pinkish then yes i suggest possibly some sort of Orpington and looking at chick if it is then its a buff

Hows your chick today ?

Mine has fluffed up nicely now and is eating and drinking.

She still is not walking properly and cant seem to put any weight on her right leg

mine i cant really say im very scared for her

she seems ok ut keeps screaming meaning she is lonley and she wont eat on her own

been syringe feeding her

i took a judgment call and order 4 day old chicks arriving thursday

bloody cost an arm and a leg

but hopefully the company and coping the other chicks should help her get through this tough part

im just sooooo worried

Mine was cheeping very loudly today and i thought she was lonely. I got her out and stuck her in my jumper and it seemed to calm her down. It must be hard for them with no mum or anybody else.
