Please help! Do I need to put coconut oil on pip?

You know so much more than I do but the red that is right by the pip looks to be blood but I believe it's from the pip. I don't see any active bleeding.

That's what I thought so I figured the yellow was down. Now that the coconut oil has penetrated more, it does indeed look like yolk

That's very odd. He'll probably need assistance at some point. Don't rush him though, you don't want him hatching with unabsorbed yolk.
