Please help. I am hatching eggs for my second grade class and today is day 21. I have only had one egg pip and although he was malpositioned it looked good until two hours ago. He began hatching at 10 hours ago. Now he isn't moving, not peeping and I'm not sure if he ingested the blood or is resting. I want to assist but not if he is going to be ok on his own.

Please see attached picture

I just had this happen this past week. I had to help. Mine would have died. When I did get him out part of the yolk sac was not absorbed. I placed him on a moist wash rag in a small bowel and back in the bator. For 24 hours he stayed in the fetal position and did not move. Once the yolk sac absorbed he started to move around and is now doing great!

If it were me i would try to help. Go slowly and pinch/crack w tweasers. If you cause bleeding try to dab and take a break. Also be aware of the chick getting too cold. Good luck!

He didn't make it :( I should have helped hours ago. Yolk not fully absorbed. So I guess he tried too early. I just hope 1 out remaining 15 hatch this weekend

I didn't realize he was in trouble until bleeding occurred. ...I was checking pretty frequently but didn't for two hours. This is my third batch of eggs.my students will be so disappointed

Im so sorry! That is so hard. :hugsWhat was your temp/humidity at during incubation? I will pray you get something from your other eggs!:fl
