I hope someone can help. This is my first year with my chickens. They are all healthy with the excpetion of this problem. One of my French Copper Marans has this thick white gunk in her eye. At first I thought it was plain yougurt as I had given the girls a bowl of it which they devoured and made a mess with shaking it off their beaks. For a few days I brough her in an was able to rinse it out. It was gone for a week and is now back. Again I rinsed it all out but her lid is now covering about 1/3 of her eye. Could this be yougurt or is this a pus filled infection? What can I do to help her? This photo was taken before I cleaned her eye out.
