Please help fav quail badly hurt

The wash should be fine since it's just clorhexidine, but be careful using it at first, just to make sure it isn't burning him. Good thing his eyes aren't injured, so just let that rest and he will open them again. As for the beak, put antibacterial ointment not that to and it should come back. Keep an eye on his eating habits, and if he goes a few days without food, then you will have hand feed him, but just that he's drinking water is so good! Just keep the food mush and water available to him, and keep us posted!

He’s pretty drowsy again, im driving back to the other house with my sick chicken so I can care for both. He’s gonna stay in my room until he’s good, there’s ups and downs right now so I’m not sure if he’ll be ok. I attached pics of his beak and one of the injuries near his eye.

Be cautious with chlorhexidine around the eyes. It can cause actual damage to the structures in the eye. Dilute it well if it is not already and place gauze or something similar over the eye while rinsing the wound. Otherwise it’s fine to use. 👍 Good advice already given for care otherwise but just wanted to make sure you knew to be extra careful around his eyes. :)

I just want to encourage you that quail are very hardy little birds. It may look really nasty now, but chances of recovery are high. I've had birds survive dog and flock attacks, with missing toes and scalped heads, and with time and a little initial care, they recovered quite well. His beak may not look as pretty as it was before, but it should heal up well.

Make sure that he's separated while he's mending, as quail will pick at open wounds on their compatriots.

Thank you so much this is very encouraging to hear. He is definitely a tough little guy. I'll share a cute video of what he would do when I get too close, i've never heard of a quail doing it.
