Please help, feather loss and red skin

Can anyone help/ advise.

One of my girls (they're pets) has lost alot of feathers, red sore skin on her tail

Any help greatly received

If it is a molt, it is a weird molt...

Some questions here :

• How old is your girl?

• Does she have an access to a pool to swim? If so : how often do you clean it?

• How many duck hens AND drakes do you have, exactly?

• What do you use as bedding for them?

• How often do you clean their shelter?

• Do they freerange?

• What do you feed them?

• Do you have a rooster that could have mounted her? (Or any other bird - including females?)

Please : do give as much details as possible.

I think that is definitely another bird pulling her feathers. Please separate her where she is still close to and can see her flock. She needs to heal. I had a feather pulling issue and even though I spend a lot of time with my girls, it took me months to catch them in the act. In the meantime I spent a lot of money taking my duck to the vet to understand what was happening and why she had these "wounded" areas. I had a flock of all females and one of them was pulling feathers in a weird mating attempt - both girls were good friends and the one would submit. Let her heal and be very watchful.
