Hi all so i started lock down yesterday increased the water. My humid duirng inc has been holding at around 40%. These are bantam chick and the farmer recommended lower as we r in very humid texas climate. Now iys holding at 60% should i push for more. I have a tube running into the vent and down into the center so i can increase water without opening.

So long story no piping yet no wiggling. Candled day 17 all moving and happy now whats :(

So o guess I was unknowingly using dry hatch method. We had humidity of 35 avg during incubation. In that case should I crank up higher than 60 for lockdown? I live in very humid climate of north Texas.

Ok. We are mid way through day 20 and no rocking tapping or chirping. Before lockdown candles and had great movement.

Don't panic. The 21 days is not a "rule". It's a guideline. sometimes they hatch a little earlier, and sometimes they hatch a day or two later. Could be your thermometer is off and your temps were a little low. I'd just wait it out. (Really, what choice do you have? Help them when they're not ready to hatch, and you could kill them.)

Temps are set a bit high 99.5-101.7
Should i candle them. They have progessed along each day exactly with the chart.

I would leave them. What do you hope to accomplish by candling them? Either they will hatch or they won't. If you try to "help" them too soon, you will kill them. They'll come when they're ready.

I really hate my little giant. Just checked at 11am and everything was fine temp holding at 100.2 with 58% humidity. Now I get home at 6pm and temp has shot up to 101.8 for who knows how long. This is day 20 now 21 and nothing no holes was a bit of wiggle this morning but now I dont know. What should I do. Should I lift the lid to bring down the temp faster
