You'll find that if I see something that could potentially be a cockerel - I let people know because it's the kind thing to do. It has what appears to be a male pattern so I spoke up.

She never said it was laying eggs. I saw a male specific trait and I spoke up. I didn't say it was male. I wanted to point it out in case she was unaware.

Tons of people "know" and are wrong. There's plenty of threads here to prove that. Therefore I if I see something I say something. I'd want the same thing done if the roles were reversed. Especially if I'm living in town and can't have roosters. Which many people here are.

My own chickens. The males i had, had pointed neck feathers. My females have rounded. Almost all websites that give you information on how to sex chickens also say it.
