Broody or not, brood patch becomes exposed for adult hens stressed by egg production, especially if she started to go broody since last molt. Maybe jumping gun a bit on health issue concerns. Can current pictures be show of hen standing, and a close up of her face?

Thanks for your response! She's not gone through a molt yet. She's less than 1 yr old. I'll try to get a photo of her in the dark. I'll post it asap.
