Thanks for the help everyone. Sounds like mixed reviews so far though.
I was under the impression that by calling it chicken you meant girl and rooster meant boy...I guess it makes sense that they are all chickens

I was clear, though that we wanted egg-laying ladies!

The lady we bought them from (2 weeks ago) said that the EE's were 2 weeks old. When we asked about the RIR's and Wyandottes she didn't seem sure and said oh..5 or 6 weeks I think. So I could be off a week or so on their ages. I looked close and don't see ANY sign of wattle on any of them except the one RIR with the larger comb I took a pic

it looks to me like the wyandotte (assuming its actually a wyandotte, i just got my first chicks of that breed so dont know what they look like immature) has a single comb, which is not uncommon (though they should have rose combs) and is a male. it also looks like one RIR is a male, i think the rest are females. just my best guess at this stage.

Somehow you just know already...but you need to ask just in case you might be wrong.

I have two "pullets" that I'm pretty sure are cockerels but I will be posting pics again in another
week just to be sure.

Are you planning on keeping any?

you got "chickens" alright ..next time say you want hens or roosters lol.. i agree with the larger combs being boys.. enjoy your babies
