Greetings, chicken peeps!
Due to bad neighbors, dogs reduced my first flock down to one roo and one hen so, I immediately set out to add some new pullets for both their sakes.
My first hatching experience has been exciting and sometimes stressful but oh, so worth it.
I incubated six fertile eggs from my two remaining chickens and all six hatched! They are three weeks old today and growing fast.
I've read and studied about how to tell the cockerels from the pullets but still can't figure it out on my own. Please help me identify what I've got!
I tried to take individual pics of the chicks but, they were less than cooperative and I couldn't keep up with which was which so, I'm submitting a couple of group photos and hope they will suffice.
This is Mom and Dad
Dad's straight comb
Mom's rose comb
And here are the babies
This is my first time uploading pics so hope I got it right. Please let me know what you think!
