Please help identify colors my Muscovy ducklings

I have never had 1 change colors on me like that, but all of my barreds have also been pied. Maybe that is the difference. The ones in the OP are also pied with 2 being barred pied, that's how I recognized the color pattern.

Yeah I was just talking about barred like the end but I can see how pied barred and regular barred get mixed up by the wording

Yep, the pied barreds have some patches of darker color in the yellow & the "mallard" markings in the eye & wing are the tell on them. I've never had a solid colored barred, just the pied barreds.

Wow--so I may just have to play the waiting game. This is all so fascinating to me. I don't know if they'll stay chocolate as some of the flight feathers on the wing are definitely black (with a slight green sheen) At what age will their final 'appearance' be set?

can anyone give an example (like a picture) of the difference between pie barred and regular barred? :)

I've bred barred muscovies so I know what they look like ( pardon the sass)
OMG! Too cute! :frowI will post the picture of an abandoned 2 day old yellow muscovy duckling that I found last week. Someone told me it will turn into a black barred muscovy, is that so? By the way, I live in Florida in a residential area and my (HOA) does not allowed ducks or chickens as pets. Free to the new home I find it. will NOT put it back in the street.
