please help identify the predator

just an update....a neighbor spotted a mountain lion walking up the street this week. I'd say that was the culprit.

Sounds like it's pretty typical to spot a mountain lion here every 6 months or so. I never worried about walking around outside in the dark, but have felt a bit more cautious since finding the tracks. I sort of forgot about it until talking to the neighbor. I guess it's just a fact of life here.
