I got these two females geese at a chicken auction a month ago. I do not know what kind they are? Please help me ID them so I can find a male for them

Thanks!!

They almost look more like extremely bleached out American buffs than embdens. It's hard to say with those pictures as they're kinda dark and the bits of brownish i'm seeing could just be stained dirty feathers. If they're in a shaded spot it would be easier to tell after they molt.

They are pure white and one has a few brown/gray feathers - one by the tail and 2 small ones on the side and is much larger then the second one. The light color is from the dirt they seem to enjoy putting dirt in the pool and then laying in the mud LOL

In that case, could they be sebastopol crosses that turned out smooth. curly x smooth does not necessarily = smooth breasted with curls on the back.
Their heads might be a bit more refined than embdens, I think. I would consider them beautiful mixed breed and enjoy them. If they were pure breed, they probably would have been sold as such.

Embden girls... and young girls do often have a few dark feathers.. they should molt out their 2nd year
True but those are usually on the sides above the thighs not in the wings and the buff coloring in the feathers almost seems to smooth and even on the individual feathers to be from dirt alone. It would appear much more splotchy on each feather.

I am still going to say faded buffs or as kimberly35042 suggested crosses until further evidence to the contrary can be provided.

Look just like my Embden gander Samson other than the grey feathers, but there is a BYC member who has Embden geese [girls] that has the same color feathers I wish I could thnk of her BYC name.
