so, while I was at school today, apparently things got a little hot in the incubator. When I checked the history of my thermometer/hygrometer, and it said.... it said.... i don't even want to type it! it got up to... 112.0. I am panicing so much right now. I feel sick. I really loved these eggs ever since they arrived, and now they're most likely dead. My dad had agreed to keep an eye on them, and turned the heat down, but i feel horrible.

So will they live? Is there a slight chance? are they dead for sure?

Note: its day 4

they're on day 4, and they couldn't have stayed at that temp that long. like 5 minutes at the most. My incubator fluctuates between 102.3 and 99.4 usually, I have no idea how it got that high!

5 minutes? if thats all... breath hunny...breath you are just fine:-) trust me...Mine was at 112 for 5 hours and I stil got some to hatch -that was day 3..--good luck:-)

i went up that high for a good three hours on day two- someone tossed their jacket on the incubator when we were at the movies- and i still have 3 out of twelve hatch

Is that the temperature that the air got up to or do you have a temp probe in a water wiggler type device. If it's air temperature you've got no worries. It takes time for the liquid temp inside the egg to move up or down. Water temp (egg temp) changes much slower than air temp. If the eggs got up to 112...I'd leave them and candle at day 10
